Personal Responsibility

Robert Welch says - The real freedom of any individual can always be measured by the amount of responsibility which he must assume for his own welfare and security.

The ability and choice to act rather than to react in all our emotional, verbal, and physiologic responses to the circumstances we encounter in our lives is critical. When we fail to understand and master this important concept, we become like puppets on a string as we  succumb to the influence of various players who spend millions of advertisement dollars to control our minds and our income.

Can we trust the government, the food industry, the pharmaceutical companies, or mainstream Western Medicine to make the right decisions regarding our health and welfare? No doubt we are blessed and very grateful for all the ways our healthcare system works especially for acute illnesses, but the statistics show that chronic lifestyle diseases such as Obesity, Diabetes, Hypertension, Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease and Anxiety are at an all time high despite our first world advancements in medicine.

We owe it to ourselves and our families to take personal responsibility for our own health and wellbeing by taking decisive steps such as:

Get really clear on your values

Become emotionally agile

Be intentional and act rather than react to our circumstances

Take care of our physical well being

Be courageous

Become self aware and understand who you really are

Become empowered and reclaim who you are

Know the stories in your mind which dictate your actions on a daily basis

Release your fears and boldly step in the ring

Align your actions with your values

Let go of a victimhood mindset

Replace bad habits with good ones

Assume ultimate personal responsibility for each and every aspect of your life
